| The Little civic show in Wolverhampton was for me, the first
time i had ventured out to see Are you experienced.
I had come with reservations, after all I have been a Jimi Hendrix fan for more
years than I can remember! and have to admit I was sceptical, how on earth could
any band possibly look and sound like the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
Well let me tell you this, as soon as the band took to the stage and started to
perform "Hear my train a coming" the hair on the back of my neck stood
on end, it was like being transported back in time to 1968, I was stunned and
could not believe my eyes and ears, I stood with my mouth open as the band
launched into song after song, little wing, fire, red house, bold as love and
many more.
The atmosphere was truly electric, almost as if the Jimi Hendrix
experience were in the room themselves!
The lead guitarist, John Campbell has captured the look and the sound of Jimi
Hendrix and can play very high quality Hendrix music complete with feedback!
But wait a second this is no one man band, John is backed up by two outstanding
musicians in their own right in the shape of Kevin O'grady (drum's/vocals) and
Mark Arnold (Bass) who together provide a rock solid foundation to the
band.
The passion for the music shines through, these guys are a very tight unit on
stage and boy can they play a mean tune!
The finale to the show "Wild thing" and even a burning guitar ,brought
the evening to an end and i have nothing but praise for them, truly a remarkable
experience and well worth coming to see.
Anyone who has any doubts as to the claim of being the best Hendrix tribute
band, rest assured they most certainly are!
So there you have it, I can't wait to go and see them again, so what are
you waiting for?
Be part of the Experience.
